Oscars Party 2016

It’s award season, and Sunday night is Oscars night. And as Emily Schuman from Cupcakes and Cashmere says “It’s her Superbowl.” Agreed Em’. Here’s a few things I’ve done in the past and am planning to do for this year’s Oscars viewing party.

Oscars Ballot

The most crucial to the night. Finding a good ballot is very important. This year, I’m loving Studio DIY’s ballot. It’s quirky, fun and has a lot of categories – download it here. Typically, I like the one that The Glitter Guide always does, but this year it doesn’t include many of the awards, but it’s still gorgeous – check it out here.

Meat and Cheese Board

The best. You can even go for a more of a sandwich bar, like this one from Cupcakes and Cashmere.

Popcorn

You’ve got to have typical movie snacks, but with a little more punch. I love adding white chocolate and some sprinkles to popcorn. Simply melt white chocolate, drizzle it on the popcorn. Mix. Add small rainbow sprinkles – Voila!

Lemonade

Just like the popcorn, amp up the lemonade! Try out these three recipes I posted from Yummy Healthy Easy here. It includes Strawberry Basil, a ‘fake’ Starbucks Passion Tea Lemonade, and a Lemon/Lime combo. All a good choice πŸ™‚

Decor

It’s a glitzy and ritzy night. Have some star confetti, balloons, and a touch of gold and red to all aspects. Even little Oscars!

Dessert and Candy

Stick with the movie staples – gummies, licorice, and some chocolate. Decorate some cupcakes to be Oscar-themed.

Happy Awards Season!Β
